About this event
In 2017, the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) commissioned research to assess the state of gender equity in the Australian music industry. Dr Amanda Coles, an expert in the political economy of labour markets and workforce development in the cultural economy carried out that research in conjunction with colleagues.
The Panel will explore existing structural reasons for the continuing lack of gender equity and search for real solutions and ways forward. In this discussion, we will be led by Tasneem Chopra, a Cross-cultural Consultant whose work addresses issues of diversity, equity and inclusion across organisational leadership.
This event will be filmed; there will be cameras in the auditorium.
The MSO’s International Women’s Day program is proudly presented by Equity Trustees.
Music and Ideas is supported by City of Melbourne.
