About this event
Leigh Sales host
Sascha Kelly, Emma Muir-Smith, Dr Priya Srinivasan & Jessica Wells panelists
In the lead up to International Women’s Day, a panel of trailblazing women in the arts take a look at the role of classical music in society today. Join us for this discussion interrogating the modern relevance of this centuries-old art form, exploring everything from the representation of classical music in pop culture to audience demographics to music education.
Hosted and moderated by Leigh Sales, this thought-provoking event is for everyone. Maybe you love classical music, or maybe you were forced as a child to practice the piano against your will – or perhaps you simply like to open yourself up to new experiences.
This event will be filmed; there will be cameras in the auditorium.
