Sascha Kelly is an experienced producer, broadcaster and administrator. After graduating from the Queensland Conservatorium with a Bachelor of Music in Euphonium Performance in 2010, Sascha realised a dramatic diversification in her skill set was probably necessary. She started volunteering as a presenter and programmer at 4MBS, the local volunteer classical music radio station, before deciding to relocate to Melbourne in 2013, where she became a staff member at their sister station - 3MBS Fine Music Melbourne.
In 2017, Sascha moved to London, and undertook various contract roles for English Touring Opera, The Royal Opera House and The Barbican Centre, before taking up a permanent position as producer at Classic FM. The station is one of Global's flagship brands - as the world’s largest classical music station - broadcasting to over 6 million listeners every week. Professional highlights included producing John Humphrys in his first broadcast role since his departure from BBC’s The Today Programme in 33 years, creating a Saturday Night at the Movies special with guest Tom Hanks, and co-hosting That Classical Podcast from 2019 - 2021 with her friend Kelly Harlock, which amassed over one million downloads.
In 2020, Sascha returned to Australia and joined Equity Mates Media - a financial media startup. She's helped oversee their growth from the original two podcasts to eight within the network, and also hosts their business news podcast - The Dive - which was awarded Best Business Podcast at the Australian Podcast Awards in 2022. She remains involved with classical music through freelance work, the Musica Viva volunteer committee and her own personal projects.
