The Primrose Potter Salon is a beautiful, flexible space that is perfect for intimate concerts. The tesselated timber lined walls feature an inscription of a section of graphic score by Australian composer Percy Grainger, which exquisitely links writing, music and ornament.
Getting to the Melbourne Recital Centre
Parking is available in the Arts Centre Melbourne/NGV car park or at the Australian Ballet Centre car park, both accessible from Kavanagh St, Southbank. Alternatively, there are various parking facilities available nearby – see the map below.
Please note Sturt Street is permanently closed to vehicles, bikes and pedestrians. We recommend allowing extra time if you plan to park in the Arts Centre or the Ballet Centre carparks. Visit the Melbourne Arts Precinct website for more information and the latest updates.
Flinders Street train station is the closest station to Melbourne Recital Centre, approximately 10 minutes’ walk away. For timetable information and trip planning visit PTV.
The nearest tram stop is Stop 17 (Sturt St/Southbank Blvd ). This stop is serviced by tram route 1.
Alternatively Melbourne Recital Centre is a short walk, around 200 metres, down Southbank Blvd from Stop 14 on St Kilda Rd. This stop is serviced by routes 1, 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72.
