Lifts to the Town Hall’s Foyer and Stalls level (Level 1) can be accessed via the copper doors directly to the left of the main steps at the Swanston Street entrance.

Please note: While this lift can take patrons to Level 2, there are, however, a further six steps to reach the Balcony section. This section contains stairs between each row, often without handrails. For this reason, we do not recommend Balcony seating for patrons with limited mobility.

Bays for wheelchair and scooter users are available in the Stalls, as are other accessible seating options, including seats situated on aisles or close to entry points. To arrange access seating, please call the MSO Box Office on (03) 9929 9600.

Accessible toilets are available on the Ground floor (street level).

Assistive listening devices are available to loan from the Front of House manager at the Melbourne Town Hall. Connection can be achieved with standard headphones or with hearing aids via a neck loop. Guide dogs and service animals are welcome at the Melbourne Town Hall and generally sit in the aisle during a performance.

No parking is available at the Melbourne Town Hall itself, however there are various parking facilities available nearby – see the map above.
