About this performance
Renowned violinist Jack Liebeck has performed as a soloist with top orchestras around the world and here he performs Bruch's virtuosic First Violin Concerto. Full of soaring and seductive melodies, it's no wonder this work has become an audience favourite around the world.
Inspired by the folk music of Bohemia, Czech composer Dvořák's pastoral Fifth Symphony is a musical distillation of the landscape of his homeland and a joyful ode to its beauty, quirks, and natural features.
Duration: approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes, no interval
*Please note: violinist Jack Liebeck will perform Bruch's Violin Concerto No.1, in place of the originally scheduled program of Maria Dueñas performing Beethoven's Violin Concerto.
**Dvořák's Symphony No.5 replaces Maria Grenfall's River Mountain Sky at this performance.
