A celebration with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra
Celebrate and honour one of the greatest pop icons of a generation with some of the most exciting voices in the country, and the full symphonic power of the MSO this summer.
George Michael sold over 100 million records worldwide with a remarkable catalogue of music spanning pop, soul and disco. Fans across the world have recently reconnected with George Michael’s pure pop hedonism and artistry through the Netflix documentary, WHAM! and have been reminded of his extraordinary artistry.
For one night only Courtney Act, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, David Campbell, Emma Donovan, Brendan Maclean, Adam Thompson, Jade MacRae, Gary Pinto and Carmen Smith will celebrate the man and his legacy, alongside the glorious MSO, with a 30 song bill tribute of his greatest hits including Careless Whisper, Faith, Father Figure, Praying for Time and Freedom.
Don’t miss this one night only celebration of George Michael with the MSO, that will have you up dancing at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
We encourage you to bring a picnic rug or floor seating. Chairs that are raised higher than 20cm off the ground are not permitted, and you cannot set up any shade structures. MSO picnic rugs will be available for purchase at the venue.
