The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra warmly congratulates MSO Co-Deputy Chair, industry leader and philanthropist Diane Jameson on her recent appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia.
“On behalf of the staff, musicians and Board of the MSO, we are delighted that Di Jameson has been recognised for her significant services to the community and to business,” says MSO Managing Director, Sophie Galaise.
Appointed to the MSO Board in 2018, Ms Jameson currently serves as Co-Deputy Chair, Chair of the Finance Committee, a Member of the Governance and Foundation Committees.
MSO Chairman David Li AM acknowledged Ms Jameson’s vital role on the Board.
“Di Jameson has made many significant contributions to the financial oversight of the company, evidenced by positive results in every year of her tenure on the Board,” says Li. “She is a deserving recipient of this prestigious honour, and we congratulate her wholeheartedly”.
A highly respected Financial Analyst, Planner and Advisor, Ms Jameson is the Founder and Managing Director of Horsey Jameson Bird Pty Ltd. She is a well-known public speaker and for many years was Channel 10's on-air financial advisor.
As a philanthropist and Platinum Patron of the MSO, Ms Jameson has been a passionate supporter of the arts and medical research, believing that “when you get, you give, and when you give, you get”. Her philanthropic pursuits also support the University of Queensland's Genetic Medical Research Program, under the stewardship of Professor Andrew Barbour.
MSO Managing Director, Sophie Galaise says Ms Jameson is an inspiration for women in leadership and a passionate advocate for female empowerment.
