Day One: Monday 24 July 2023 at 6.15pm
Iwaki Auditorium, ABC Southbank Centre
Keynote with Benjamin Northey
Principal Conductor in Residence Ben Northey invites you to experience the MSO from the inside out. With the full orchestra spread out in our rehearsal home, the Iwaki Auditorium, delegates will sit amongst the musicians as they play and rehearse, providing a rare opportunity to find out what techniques and tools Ben brings to get the most out of the orchestra. With a Q&A session afterwards, this opportunity to learn from one of Australia’s favourite and most experienced conductors is absolutely unique.

In the style of the ABC’s You Can’t Ask That, you will be able to submit questions in advance and we’ll put the panel on the spot in what promises to be an entertaining and thought-provoking session.
