Peter Luff has had a diverse and vibrant conducting career encompassing symphonic repertoire, opera and chamber music.
Among the orchestras and ensembles he has conducted are the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Opera Queensland Chorus, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra brass ensemble, Bangalow Festival Orchestra, Brisbane Philharmonic, Brisbane Symphony Orchestra, and the Queensland Conservatorium Symphony/Opera Orchestras.
Peter has had a long and distinguished career as a professional horn player, playing as Associate Principal Horn with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and performing as guest principal/solo horn with orchestras and ensembles including the Australian World Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Southern Cross Soloists and is a member of the Queensland Conservatorium ensemble in residence Ensemble Q. He has performed as a soloist in Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Korea, Japan and the United States.
Peter is currently Head of Performance and Associate Professor in Horn at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.
