Li Biao has enjoyed a successful career as both conductor and percussion soloist. In 2019, he was named Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Beijing Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he is the current Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra and the Artistic Director of the Tianjin Opera and Dance Theater.
Li Biao has given performances in over 70 countries and has collaborated with many renowned orchestras, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Bamberg Symphony, Russian National Philharmonic, Czech Philharmonic, the NDR Orchestra, Danish National Orchestra, Israel Symphony, Liszt Chamber Orchestra, Polish Radio Symphony, China National Symphony, Beijing Symphony, Shanghai Symphony, the NCPA Orchestra, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic. He has worked with many notable artists including Mstislav Rostropovich, Christoph Eschenbach, Lawrence Foster, Jonathan Nott, Fabio Luisi, Truls Mørk and Vadim Repin. It is his mission through his work to use creative energy to show audiences the limitless potential and inherent beauty of music.
