Edward Walton, an 18-year-old violinist, is currently studying under Professor Boris Kuschnir, following tutelage from Professor Robin Wilson. Notable accomplishments include achieving second place in the Junior Division of the 2021 Menuhin International Violin Competition. Edward has earned First Prize in competitions like Il Piccolo Violino Magico in Italy, the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition UK, and the Medallion International Concerto Competition USA, among others. Additionally, he was recognized as a finalist and prize winner in the Symphony Australia Young Performers Awards 2022, where he was the youngest competitor.
At the age of 11, Edward made his international orchestral debut with the Western Bohemian Symphony Orchestra and has since performed as soloist with orchestras in Europe, the USA, and Australia. His musical talents have granted him opportunities at renowned programs like the Verbier Festival Academy, Perlman Music Program, and the Kronberg Academy and have led to awards such as the EMF Young Artist Pirastro Award. He plays on a Gennaro Gagliano violin, generously on loan through the Beare's International Violin Society.
